After a big start to 2026, we now have two positions open for new superstar members of the Coney Hatch team.
The first is for a full-time working pupil role. This is a rare opportunity to blend your work with training and competition. Whether you’re already competing at FEI level or are looking to make your way up the grades, this role will suit an ambitious, energetic person who wants to build their skills and be mentored in a caring, positive competition environment. Accommodation provided.
The second role is part grooming and horse care, part nannying/au pair. Even if you’re less experienced with horses but are trustworthy, reliable, good with children and fun to be around, then we’re keen to hear from you. Accommodation provided.
Who we are:
* A family-run professional eventing training and competition business based in Mittagong, NSW
* 5 Star riders with international experience (Annabel and Hamish Cargill)
* NCAS Level I and II Coach with a track record of producing successful riders and horses: Hamish was recently Chef d’Equipe of the winning Australian U25 team at the Oceania Championships
* Genuinely nice, normal people with a cool kid and a charming sausage dog
We’re looking for team members who:
* Are keen to learn and develop new skills around horses
* Enjoy working in a positive team environment
* Have ambitions to compete or groom at the biggest competitions around Australia
* Want to live and train on a purpose-built equestrian property only 1.5 hours from Sydney

Competition mentoring
Horse transport to competitions
